Hey It's Meg.. So Where Am I Going? What Is Next? Here Is The Scoop!

Today is bittersweet. I would be lying if I said there wasn't a bit of a tug at my heart. After 9 years with Paul Schadt & Geof and now 20 years in radio, venturing out for something new is exciting for sure, but also all the other "feels" too.

There have been so many people who have asked if this was REALLY my decision because in radio the hard truth is that over 99% of the time it isn't "our choice" to leave a station. It is usually that the station has decided to "go in a different direction," and that direction isn't with you in it.

That is NOT what has happened.

Today was the "last" 3:45am alarm, and while I can tell you that I am very excited to sleep in a bit, I also will miss everyone here too! Today I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been on this journey with me over the last nine years in Charlotte. Thank you for laughing with me, crying with me, supporting me through my health scare, cheering us on whenever we had events, and mostly for always being so welcoming and kind. In a world where it can be hard to say the right thing these days, I am incredibly proud to say that the KAT listeners have always been amazing.

So the question I have been asked over and over is "What is next?" "What or who could make me leave radio?" Well here is your answer...

I have taken a position with Hendrick Automotive Group as their Social Media, Brand & Reputation Mgmt. Manager.
While here in Charlotte I have had the pleasure of working with Hendrick Automotive Group, doing commercials for them, and have gotten to know Mr. Hendrick as well. I have incredible respect for him and everything that his company stands for.

Most know the name Hendrick for their dealerships, and of course the race team, but as a company they are so much more... Take a look

It is important for me to note that this was all done WITHOUT any press, only releasing a press release when the news of what had been done got out... after the fact.

I am still going to be here with The KAT, and look forward to seeing everyone at shows too. I have enjoyed every minute with Paul Schadt, Geof, and everyone here at the station, and will take these incredible memories with me.
Thank you again to everyone who has shared in all of this fun with me, and hopefully will stay with me in the new chapter too.

See you real soon!!

xoxo Meg
