Fight Breaks Out Between Fans at Thursday Night Football Game

Warning: Graphic video

UPDATE: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are  searching for 26-year-old Kyle Adam Maraghy in connection with the assault. Detectives have issued a warrant for Maraghy's arrest.

A video was released on social media overnight from the Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles Thursday Night Football game at Bank of America Stadium.

In the video, a man sucker punches an older gentleman in the row behind him as words flew and spectators tried to break up the fight.

According to the person who filmed the video, the man in the black Cam Newton Panthers jersey and his companion were standing the entire game and the man in the row behind them made comments that they were rude for not sitting. Words flew and the younger man threw a punch, instantly causing the 62-year-old victim to bleed from the face.

Fox 46 Charlotte confirms a police report was filed on scene and the man was treated at the Stadium. It's being categorized as "simple assault" and the NFL is aware of the incident.

The Panthers' Executive Director of Rick Management, Lance Emory, states, "We have reviewed video tape of the incident and have identified the perpetrator. We are working with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department to pursue charges to the fullest extent of the law.

The Carolina Panthers are committed to a fan-friendly and family-friendly stadium experience. The behavior exhibited by the perpetrator is unacceptable and will not be condoned at Bank of America Stadium.”
