Keep Gastonia Beautiful will be hosting a softball game on Thursday, September 21st at 6:00 p.m. at Sims Legion Park in Gastonia NC.
“Battle of the Badges” Softball Game will feature the City of Gastonia Fire Department versus the Police Department. This is a great event to attend and support your local nonprofit organization, Keep Gastonia Beautiful and Gastonia Fire & Police Departments.
This event also includes a K-9 demonstration, cornhole tournament, free kids zone and local entertainment. Gates will open at 5pm and signups for cornhole tournament will begin at 5:30. The Kat (96.9 FM) will be joining us bringing music and giveaways! There will be food and drinks available, a beer garden for adults age 21 and up. Grand raffle prizes, a 50/50 raffle, and more!
Proceeds will benefit the non-profit organization, Keep Gastonia Beautiful, Gastonia Police Foundation, NC Firefighters Burned Children Fund, and Gastonia Fire Department Engineer Loren Ward suffered a brain aneurysm while fighting an apartment fire Saturday June 24, 2017. Proceeds from the game will help with medical expenses.
