USPS Will Raise Price of Forever Stamps on Sunday

Are you a fan of handwritten letters? Do you believe in the postal system wholeheartedly still? Well, stock up on your Forever stamps, because prices are about to raise again.

The cost of mailing a one-ounce first class letter will raise from 47 cents to 49 cents starting Sunday.

If you remember, it used to be 49 cents in January 2014, but the Postal Regulatory Commission ordered the USPS to drop the price to 47 cents in April 2016.

The Forever stamp never expires or declines in value, so if you buy 100 now, you can use them 10 years later no matter the cost of postage at the time.

Fun fact: in 1975, the Forever stamp was only 13 cents.
