Attendant Crew Zip Ties Would-Be Hijacker On Nashville-Bound Flight

Passengers on board Delta flight 836 flying out of Los Angeles heading to Nashville on Friday, June 4th experienced a terrifying moment when an unruly passenger tried to breach the cockpit door. Crew members detained the would be hijacker using zip-ties on his hands and feet until the plane was able to safely land. The plane made an emergency landing in Albuquerque, New Mexico to un-board the unruly passenger off the plane. Delta released this statement:

“Thanks to the crew and passengers of Delta Flight 386, LAX to Nashville (BNA), who assisted in detaining an unruly passenger as the flight diverted to Albuquerque (ABQ). The aircraft landed without incident and the passenger was removed by law enforcement. We apologize to our customers for the delay any additional inconvenience.”

The flight crew truly acted as superheroes! I'm so thankful that no one was hurt and the only injury was an inconvenience to the passengers travel plans.
