Pete's Clam Bar on Long Island has released Louie the lobster after 20 years in captivity. Louie is believed to be 132 YEARS OLD making him one of the oldest on record
The owner Butch Yamali bought the restaurant about four years ago, and says Louie's been like a pet to him. But recently someone walked in and offered a $1000 for Louie so he could have a fathers day feast.
But Butch said he just couldn't do it ... and made the decision to set Louie FREE instead.
The town supervisor was called in to "pardon" him and they held a huge ceremony before heading out on a boat to set him free.
And don't worry, Louie will be fine. One expert says there aren't that many predators who could eat him.
