Dan + Shay Reveal Misheard Lyrics Of '19 You + Me' In New Video

Dan + Shay are taking fans back with a new video of their 2013 debut single "19 You + Me."

In the clip, shared on Instagram on Saturday (January 23), the duo reveals that a fan once misheard the lyrics "you were California beautiful" for "you were kinda fun and beautiful." Dan + Shay's Shay Mooney is seen singing the song off a balcony as the sun sets while Dan Smyers walks out towards him while filming.

"Someone once misheard the lyric as 'you were kinda fun and beautiful' lol," they captioned the post. "This one brings back memories. Miss y'all so much."

"19 You + Me" was released in 2013 as the first single from Dan + Shay's debut album, Where It All Began. Other singles off the same album include "Show You Off" and "Nothin' Like You."

Dan + Shay's new Instagram post comes several days after they shared a cover of Morgan Wallen's "Sand In My Boots."

On Thursday (January 21), the duo shared their cover on Instagram of the track from Wallen's recently released sophomore project, Dangerous: The Double Album. They even shared that "songs like this" are one of the reasons why they "fell in love with country music."

"Can’t stop listening to 'sand in my boots' so figured we’d sing it for y’all," Dan + Shay captioned the clip posted on Instagram. "Congrats to our pal Morgan Wallen on the huge album launch."

Dangerous, which arrived earlier this month, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums chart and also earned the largest streaming week for a country album in history.

Meanwhile, Dan + Shay recently celebrated their eighth career No. 1 with their latest single, "I Should Probably Go To Bed." The duo is currently working on the follow-up to their self-titled third studio album. Stay tuned for further details to come!
