Bill D’Alessandro is the founder and CEO of Elements Brands. Bill founded Elements Brands in 2010 with the goal of creating a company that is one part Proctor & Gamble, one part Berkshire Hathaway, and one part Four Hour Work Week – with e-commerce as the primary distribution channel.

Elements Brandsstarted with a single product, has grown to over 150 SKUs across nine portfolio brands in the personal care and household goods markets, and focuses on acquiring and scaling niche consumer products brands. Elements Brands is headquartered in Charlotte, NC and sells its products through its own websites, Amazon.com, and big box retailers in the US and internationally. More information is availableat ElementsBrands.com.

Bill also created the Matchbox Labs incubator program at the University of Colorado-Boulder in 2012. Matchbox Labs is a two-semester college course / incubator that focuses on helping students create branded, scalable, cash flow positive e-commerce businesses. Students spend one semester learning in a classroom setting, which then culminates in a pitch competition for seed capital. Those students that are funded spend the following semester mentoring 1-on-1 with local entrepreneurs to launch their businesses.

Prior to founding Elements Brands, Bill worked in Corporate Development at Hosting.com. He worked directly with the company’s private equity investors and senior management team on acquisitions, post-close operational integration, and strategic projects in the cloud computing and data center space.

Prior to Hosting.com, Bill was an investment banking analyst at Edgeview Partners in their technology M&A practice.

Bill graduated from Wake Forest University with a major in Business and double minors in Computer Science and Entrepreneurship.
