Kane Brown has two nominations for Sunday Night's Academy of Country Music Awards. He is nominated for Album of the Year for Mixtape Vol. 1 and the video to "Worldwide Beautiful" is nominated for Video of the Year. Kane was on "CBS This Morning" this morning where he learned that he had actually won the award for Video of the Year. This is the third ACM award that has been announced leading up to the show; last Friday brought announcements of Gabby Barrett winning the New Female Artist of the Year award while Jimmie Allen was named New Male Artist of the Year. The ACM Awards will air Sunday night on CBS.
Kane thought he was on "CBS This Morning" to merely promote the ACM Awards and talk about his projects, but host Anthony Mason surprised him by giving him the great news that he won the ACM for Video of the Year. After being nominated a handful of times, this is the first ACM Award that Kane has won.
