Kyle Busch's truck series drivers took each other out on the LAST LAP!

Some of the most thrilling races to watch are in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.  You have a combination of guys trying to prove themselves, young guys that "don't know any better," drivers popping in from various other series of racing, a handful of veterans, and when you get them all on the track together, it makes for some extremely thrilling racing!

Today was no exception.  The truck series "chase" consists of seven races and started today at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park outside of Toronto.  It's a road course just over two and a half miles in length with 10 turns, and there is something about it that always produces exciting finishes... and more often than not, hurt feelings.

Kyle Busch Motorsports driver Todd Gilliland had a great truck, and the 18 year old was in the lead on the final lap.  It looked like his first series win was imminent when teammate Noah Gragson chased him down.  On THE FINAL turn of THE FINAL lap, Gragson got under Glliland, didn't have enough room, bounced on the curb, took them both out, and Justin Haley cleanly made it through for the win.

WOW!

Haley was credited with leading one lap today, and it was the only lap that mattered.  The last one.

As for Gilliland and Gragson, something tells me that the Monday morning meetings tomorrow morning at Kyle Busch Motorsports aren't going to be a lot of fun.
