Back in 1981, Saddam Hussein commissioned a yacht and named it the Basrah Breeze. The yacht is 270 feet long, and is about as top-of-the-line as you can get... we're talking a gold-rimmed bathroom complete with a barber's chair, a Presidential suite, and 17 guest rooms, 18 crew cabins, and more.
While it sounds and looks lovely in pictures, Saddam never actually used the yacht. Since his death, it was listed for $30 million dollars, but the government could never find a buyer. So now, the yacht will be permanently docked and will serve as a hotel to port pilots.
Not bad accommodations!
