Roseanne responds to Fergie's singing of the Anthem

Fergie has come under fire for her singing of the National Anthem prior to this past weekend's All-Star Basketball Game.  In case you missed it, it went like this...

Some say she butchered it, and have compared it to Roseanne Barr's singing of the anthem back in 1990.

What does Roseanne have to say about Fergie?  She tweeted this yesterday.

Yikes.  

Let me just point out that there have been plenty of COUNTRY artists who have done our Anthem beautifully!  And who could forget P!nk at the Super Bowl a few weeks ago, who NAILED it while SICK!

Fergie released a statement to TMZ, stating:

"I've always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA. I'm a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn't strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best."
