Alan Jackson isn't letting tour cancelations due to the coronavirus pandemic stop him from entertaining his fans.
The country icon announced on Tuesday (May 26) that he will perform two drive-in concerts next month in Alabama. The shows, dubbed the "Small Town Drive-In" concerts, will take place on June 5 and 6 in Cullman and Fairhope, Alabama. The Cullman concert will be at the site of the Rock the South festival, while the Fairhope show will take place at Oak Hollow Farm. Both venues can accommodate about 2,000 vehicles.
According to a press release, Jackson's Small Town Drive-In shows are intended to give people "a quality-of-life activity during this current time of isolation and uncertainty." The statement continues on to note that the event will be "staged in accordance with and while promoting CDC and Alabama state health guidelines regarding social distancing and other practices."
