Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles gave a flawless performance of the National Anthem moments before the start of Saturday's Kentucky Derby race. She looked stunning in her light purple dress and her over-sized pink fascinator.
Although Nettles performance was flawless, the race was not. The favorite entering the race, Maximum Security, took the win only to have the title revoked. This the first disqualification in the history of the derby!! Apparently other horses and jockeys were clipped during the run and after reviewing footage, Maximum Security went from winner to loser just like that. (heart-breaking) The new winner by default is Country House.
Personally, I think the REAL winner was Twitter whose tweets of confusion OWNED the internet Saturday!
