Her Parents Were After The American Dream, Daughter Winning Gold Seals It!

Chloe Kim is first generation Korean - American, her parents are from South Korea, and some of the family's relatives still live there.
Chloe and her family live in California.

Chloe, 17, is a three-time X Games halfpipe gold medalist and two-time World Snowboard Tour halfpipe season champion, and landed a gold medal in women's halfpipe Tuesday in Pyeongchang, South Korea, becoming the the youngest woman to win an Olympic snowboarding medal.
She had qualified for the 2014 Olympics, but she had been too young, so this makes winning Gold even sweeter!

Chloe Kim’s father says this made all his sacrifice worth it.
He pointed to himself, said “American dream!” and whooped.

American Dream Indeed....
