Eric Church Releases New Song "Darkest Hour" & Donates Royalities to NC

It's been about three years since we've heard new music from our Carolina guy, Eric Church, but today he released a new song titled "Darkest Hour." And what he did next will blow your mind!!! Eric has given the rights to his new song to the State of North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund. So, all the money raised by royalties will go directly to help those most in need. My eyes are tearing up just typing this.

As the world has now seem, Hurricane Helene has completely devasted Western, NC. So many families have lost everything. Some residents are still unaccounted for. Volunteers from all over North Carolina have been collecting donations and helping deliver as many supplies to the hardest hit areas, providing as much relief as possible. The damage from the storm won't be an overnight fix. It will take months to rebuild and get those areas functioning back to normal again. And this is why what The Chief has done is SO impactful. This isn't a one-time donation. The state's disaster relief fund will receive all the royalties from his song which means money will continue to be donated to NC state's disaster relief fund. Eric Church is one of a kind! He does things differently and he genuinely cares about COMMUNITY and PEOPLE and creates music and events for his fans rather than following a blueprint. It shows and we see you Eric!

We are so thankful for the outpouring of help we've received in North Carolina and we're playing Eric's new song all day long on 96.9 The Kat!!!!

As someone who has been delivering food and medical supplies to the small towns in the Mountains, I can speak firsthand and say these communities are SO THANKFUL for every single donation!! Many locals are still processing what happened a week ago, but one thing they've all stated is they are blown away by the amount of support from complete strangers from all over our country. Thank you to all of you who supported our iHeartRadio Charlotte donation drop off locations. Thanks to you, we were able to collect 317,677lbs of supplies and Operation Air Drop was able to make 554 supply flights with your donations. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all who have helped!! Please, listen to Eric's new song and share with your friends.

Thank you Chief! You are THE MAN!
