Carolina Panthers Part Ways With Matt Rhule

The Carolina Panthers announce the team has parted ways with head coach Matt Rhule, after a home loss to San Francisco. The Panthers are currently 1-4 this season. He leaves the NFL with an 11-27 record with the team.

He will be replaced on an interim basis by defensive pass game coordinator/secondary coach Steve Wilks. Wilks spent one year as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals & 6 years on the Panthers staff from 2012-17.
