I had the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the Honey Hunters game on Sunday against the Lexington Legends. My friend and Gaston County Commissioner, Chad Brown challenged me to throw out the pitch blindfolded. I'm always up for a challenge so I accepted. Ya'll, I threw a baseball every week leading up to the big event. On Sunday, I threw five pitches every hour leading up to the 4:15 start time. It definitely didn't turn out as well as I had imagined BUT I am beyond thankful for my tribe that supported me from start to finish. So many people showed up, sent text messages and just encouraged me along the way. You have NO IDEA how much that means to me.
In life, the people who surround you… your tribe… really get you to the next level. Love and support is the greatest superpower we can offer and y’all have blessed me beyond measure! Y’all make my cup run over … I LOVE YALL HUGE
