Earlier this month, on June 5th Clint Bowyer was exiting a highway near Osage Beach, Missouri when he hit a pedestrian. As he exited, Bowyer's vehicle struck 47-year-old Mary Jane Simmons. Bowyer immediately called 911 and also jumped out trying to assist the woman but she succumbed to her injuries on the scene. According to reports, Bowyer was not impaired and also gave a roadside blood sample. The pedestrian was believed to be under the influence of drugs, according to the police statement.
