Tyler McDaniel is the PE teacher at North Elementary School in Kings Mountain. He challenged his students to raise $3,000 for the Kids Heart Challenge and if they did, he'd shave off his very long thick beard. His students not only reached the goal but more than doubled it, raising $6,519.36!!! Staying true to his promise, Tyler let the school mascot shave off the beard as the students watched and rejoiced. (Way to go Tyler!!!) The money raised was donated to the American Heart Association to help kids facing heart-health issues. Way to go North Tigers!
