IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!! YEEEEEEES!!! The Chief was crowned Entertainer of the Year during last night's 2020 CMA Awards show. Everyone in the audience jumped to their feet, (we jumped off the couch) celebrating with Church as he took the stage.
He had everyone laughing with his opening line, "If there was ever a year not to win this award..... " He continued... "This award this year, at least for me has been about the loss of this year, loss of life, loss of playing shows, loss of freedom, loss of kids in school and you know what the win is? The win is we all were here tonight, together as country music. In-person live, not on Zoom. And I really believe this, it's going to be music that brings us out of this. That is the one things that going to save the entire world. Politicians are about division. Music is about unity. And I promise you, it's going to take everyone in this room to unite."
Could you possibly love him anymore?!! Church winning this makes us all feel like winners, maybe because it's the way he includes his fans, making us feel like we are a part of something bigger. There is no one more deserving and we couldn't be more proud! CONGRATULATIONS CHIEF!!!
