Check out that fish!! WOW! Joey Baird of Virginia was fishing on Lake Gaston when he caught the record breaking fish! A 121.9 pound catfish, that is now the new NC state record holder! Not only did Baird's catch break a record, it also won him $10,000. Catch The Fever Rod Company awards $10,000 if you catch a record breaking fish using their rods AND you release the fish back into the water alive. According to Carolina Sportsman, Baird who is a police officer donated the $10,000 to his local fire department to help purchase a rescue boat!
