Barry Lee Jones of Harrisburg, NC has been charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct after he ran and tackled a student athlete during a high school wrestling match. Jones' son, a wrestler at Hickory Ridge High School was slammed to the mat by a student from Guilford High School. Jones can be seen in the video rushing and tackling the student from Guilford right as the referee gave hand signals to call the student's move illegal. According to reports, Jones was booked on a $1,000 secured bond at the Cabarrus County Jail.
