Sam Hunt had one too many and found himself locked up with DUI charges. According to E! News, Hunt was hanging out with friends at the restaurant The Ainsworth in Nashville, Tennessee. The group of friends were drinking and having a great time until about 11:30. When that fun ended Hunt called an Uber and then went to the popular bar, Tin Roof.
The following Morning someone called the police because they saw a car swerving and driving in the wrong lane. It was Sam Hunt! His blood alcohol level was .173 which is more than twice the legal limit. They arrested him and booked him in jail. Three hours later Sam posted the $2,500 bond and was released. His court date is set for January 17th. That's definitely not the way you want to start out a new year. Thankfully no one was hurt and hopefully a huge lesson was learned.
