Tropical Storm Karen Forms in Atlantic

A tropical storm watch has been issued for Puerto Rico and the U.S. and British Virgin Islands for Tropical Storm Karen, according to the National Hurricane Center.

By the end of the week, Karen will stall out east of the Bahamas as high pressure builds across the Atlantic. Beyond that, some models do moves Karen farther west so we'll have to keep a close eye on it.

With moderate wind shear over the storm, Karen should remain a tropical storm as it passes across the Caribbean this week. Gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall are expected across parts of the eastern Caribbean along its path.
