What are the chances? Over the weekend, someone cold-heartedly left four puppies in a cardboard box on the side of a road in Statesville with the words "FREE PUPPIES" written on the side. I cringe thinking of what could have happened to those sweet innocent fur babies BUT as fate would have it, an angel crossed their path.
Crystal Mosteller Hopson, the director of a dog rescue in Hickory called Hartman's Haven was driving to a friends wedding rehearsal Friday when she noticed the box. (Seriously, what are the chances.)
Crystal did what most good hearted people would do. She rescued the pups! The wedding party welcomed the fur babies with open arms and decided the pups would make great wedding guest! The four abandoned puppies became a part of the wedding party!! The groomsman carried the sweet angels as they walked down the aisle. (with the exception of one bridesmaid who made the groomsman hold the flowers so she could carry the puppy!)
The puppies are 7 week old Feist mix and are available for adoption. If you'd like to give them a loving home you can email the director Crystal for an application at crystal@hartmanshaven.org
