According to Channel 9 news, at least on student has been shot at Butler High School in Matthews. The shooter is now in custody and the student that was shot has been transported to the hospital.
The shooting happened around 7:15 Parents are being told to meet at Elevation Church on East Independence Boulevard in Matthews
UPDATE: according to Channel 9 news, the victim from the school shooting has died at the hospital. See more information here
