There's a fake Chris Stapleton out there scamming fans and sadly this happens all the time! An Ohio woman thought she was talking to the real Chris Stapleton through private messaging on social media and as their conversations progressed, the fake Chris asked for iTunes gift cards for an orphanage and the fan fell for it! She learned she was scammed when the profile was deleted after she sent the gift cards. Next time you want to follow your favorite celebrity just be aware their are lots of fake profiles out there. If the celebrity you want to follow on social media doesn't have a blue check mark by their name, that profile is more than likely not the real deal
