CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Emergency officials were urging people to avoid a busy area of uptown Charlotte after a gas line was cut early Thursday morning.
Firefighters said West Trade Street was blocked between Cedar Street and Graham Street.
Piedmont Natural Gas officials told Channel 9 that a 2-inch gas line was accidentally cut by a construction crew but that the leak has been "made safe."
Nobody was hurt, officials said.
