Let's be honest, when you think about Bradley Cooper you probably aren't thinking "talented singer" right?
This October, that may all change.
“A Star is Born” stars four-time Oscar nominee Bradley, and multiple award-winning, Oscar-nominated music superstar Lady Gaga, in her first leading role in a major motion picture.
Cooper not only stars, but is also, making his directorial debut!
In this new take on the tragic love story, he plays seasoned musician Jackson Maine, who discovers—and falls in love with—struggling artist Ally (Gaga's character).
She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer… telling Jack that people say she can sing, but that she doesn't have that "look" to make it big. She is very timid, afraid of the spotlight, until Jack coaxes her to take the chance.
But even as her career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jack fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.
If the trailer is ANY indication, this movie will not only give us the amazing acting skills from Cooper, but will also show us his versatility as a singer as well.
It also gives us a look at Gaga without her usual pop stage presence, showcasing her singing skills of course, but also a look at her as a talented actress.
To say I am truly looking forward to this movie would be an understatement.
WOW Right? Bradley was on Ellen about a year ago when they had started filming the movie, and he talked about how hard it was to really sing, and how he was nervous that he wouldn't make Gaga look bad!
