Independence Celebration | Belmont

Location: Stowe Park, 24 S. Main Street, BelmontTime: Celebration kicks off at 6 pm

Downtown Belmont will be closed down for the Independence Day Celebration There will be Carnival rides, games, a corn hole tournament, live music and fireworks. This is a free event to the public.

Fun Family 4th of July | Matthews

Location: Stumptown Park, 120 S. Trade St., Matthews

Time: 5-9pm. Parade begins at 5:30pm

Decorate your bikes, scooters, and wagons and join in the People's Parade. The band "The Entertainers" will perform a special concert in the park afterwards. Free..

Charlotte Symphony Summer Pops: Celebrate America | Charlotte

Location: Symphony Park, 4400 Sharon Road

Time: Gates open at 5pm

Pack a picnic and blankets and chairs as Charlotte Symphony presents a salute to Independence Day. Fireworks follow the concert. $5-$12; children 12 and under free.

Fireworks and Music Spectacular | Denver

Location: East Lincoln High School, 6471 NC-73, Denver

Time: Gates open at 4pm

Country music star Collin Raye performs a concert followed by a fireworks display.

 

Monday, July 3

4th of July in Davidson | Davidson

Location: Davidson's Village on the Green, Main Street and Concord Road, Davidson

Time: 5:30-8pm

Dress in your most patriotic attire and decorate your bikes and wagons as you watch the annual Independence Day parade. Then, rock out with live music, food and fun.

Charlotte Firecracker 5K | Charlotte

Location: Olde Providence Elementary School, 3800 Rea Road.

Time: 7 pm.

The course takes runners on a rolling loop around the Olde Providence Neighborhood. Following the race, enjoy a pool party with live music at Windyrush Country Club. $10-$35.

Family Fun Night: Queen City Brass Band | Mint Hill

Location: Mint Hill Town Hall, 4430 Mint Hill Village Lane, Mint Hill.

Time: . 7:30pm.

Attend a Patriotic Concert, an annual Mint Hill tradition featuring Charlotte's own Queen City Brass Band. Members of the community will gather on the front lawn of Town Hall to pay tribute to our great country.

July 3 Summer Celebration | Mooresville

Location: Lowe's YMCA, 170 Joe V. Knox Ave., Mooresville

Time: 4-10pm.

Games, inflatables, live entertainment and fireworks! Free.

Red, White and Boom | Rock Hill, S.C.

Location: East Black Street, Rock Hill, S.C.

Time: Festivities begins at 5:30pm with fireworks at 10pm.

Celebrate the holiday with food, live music, mechanical rides, activities for kids and fireworks. Free. 


Tuesday, July 4

Rocket Run | Waxhaw

Location: MillBridge, 1401 MillBridge Pkwy, Waxhaw

Time: 7pm.

Kick off Independence Day with a 2-mile run through the MillBridge Community. The race will be followed by a bike/golf cart parade and live music. $20-$30.

Harrisburg July 4th Celebration | Harrisburg

Location: Harrisburg Park, 191 Sims Pkwy, Harrisburg.

Time: Mon., 4-10:30pm; Tues., 4-11:30pm.

Don't miss the parade, live music, games, amusements, and the mayor's cornhole tournament. Free. July 3 and 4.

Fourth of July Festival at USNWC | Charlotte

Location: U.S. National Whitewater Center, 5000 Whitewater Center Pkwy.

Bike decorating, a patriotic parade, balloon artist, and a fire department water fight. Free.

4th of July Firecracker Run | Village of Lake Park

Location: Village of Lake Park in Union County, 1010 Creft Circle, Lake Park.

Time: Check in begins at 8am; Race starts at 9am

Race to raise money for the Common Heart food pantry. Featuring a 1K and Kids Firecracker Dash, along with two timed races. Dress in your most patriotic for a costume contest. Registration required. $25-$35..

Charlotte 4th of July Fireworks at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Location: Charlotte Motor Speedway, 5555 Concord Pkwy. S., Concord

Time: Stay for a fireworks show after the race at 9pm. Gates open at 5pm.

Participate in a free autograph session and then watch Legend Cars and Bandoleros race during the Bojangles' Summer Shootout Series.

Fourth of July Celebration and Naturalization Ceremony | Charlotte

Location: The Charlotte Museum of History, 3500 Shamrock Drive.

Time: 10am-2pm.

Attend a naturalization ceremony presented by the Sons of the American Revolution, watch a presentation on Betsy Ross and the Legend of the first flag, take guided tours of the Hezekiah Alexander homesite, go on a scavenger hunt, and more. $5 for the public; free for members.

Location: The Grove Church; Parade: starts at HG Rec. Center, East W.T Harris Blvd

Indian Trail 4th of July Parade and Celebration | Indian Trail
