Sheryl Crow performed in the Listener Lounge Powered By East Charlotte Nissan on Wednesday.  Crow has a spectacular catalog of hits, but now she's headed down a different path.

Sheryl says that Brad Paisley was instrumental in convincing her to step into the country world.  After beating breast cancer, Crow moved to Nashville and adopted two children who are about the same age as Paisley's kids.

Sheryl says Brad often asked her, "When are you going to make a country record?  It's time for you to come home."  Brad Paisley went on to say, "Girls come in and they want make a Sheryl Crow record."

Sheryl Crow says she respects country music and it's fans.  "It's sacred, hallowed ground," says Crow regarding country music.  On the country music fanbase Crow says:

"They'll tell me if I'm home or not."

Crow plans to release her first country album later this year.  The first single from the album, Easy, released earlier in March.  It is available on iTunes.
