The Story of Kip Moore's Red Hat

The Story of Kip Moore's Red Hat
Posted July 19th, 2013 @ 11:11am

Kip Moore is rarely seen without his favorite red hat.  It sits backwards on Moore's head at all of his concerts.  But, how did it end up there?

The Georgia native tells Taste of Country that he picked it up at a surf shop in Folly Beach, South Carolina.  Folly Beach, just south of Charleston, is one of Moore's favorite spots for surfing.  The front of the hat has the logo for McKevlin's Surf Shop.

Moore explains, " I’m down there surfing and threw the hat on one day and wore it that night for a show and it just kinda stuck ever since."

After seeing people show up at concerts wearing red hats Moore says, "Well, I think I'm gonna keep rockin' it."
