Several songs from Taylor Swift's latest album, Red, are pop songs.  They aren't "pop country" or "country influenced pop" songs.  Songs like I Knew You Were Trouble are clearly pop songs.  There are country influences on the album, however.

Taylor is still supported by country fans.  Her duet with Tim McGraw, Highway Don't Care, recently became the No. 1 country song.  She tells the Examiner that she is happy that the country music community still supports her:

"I think one of the things that I’m happiest with, in the last year, is the acceptance level in country music for me experimenting and for me trying to evolve and challenge myself musically."

Swift continues to blur the lines between country and pop.  That is very apparent on her current tour.  Her openers have ranged from Florida Georgia Line to Ed Sheeran.
