Carrie Underwood and many other animal rights activists are happy now that Tennessee governor Bill Haslam has vetoed an "ag-gag" bill.
The bill would force investigators to turn over footage of animal abuse within 48 hours.
Opponents of the bill, including Underwood, believe the bill criminalizes investigations of animal abuse. Investigations usually are set up to show repeated abuse. Also, many believe the bill was unconstitutional.
Monday, Carrie tweeted a link to the Tennessean and exclaimed, "Great news!" In April, Underwood got into a public spat with one of the bill's supporters.
