It's been a little while since Blake Shelton has hit the road. With so many other duties, such as being a coach on The Voice, touring took a back seat. But, he's finally getting back on the road and he's really excited.
"I've been dying to get out there and actually tour," Shelton tells Rolling Stone. "This is what I'm supposed to do. This is what I dreamed about when I was a kid."
While Shelton has toured before, he's particularly excited to be headlining concerts at this level. Blake explains:
"I'm headlining these great outdoor venues across the country, in places I only ever got to play before because I was opening for Rascal Flatts or George Strait, somebody like that, a Brad Paisley. I never dreamed this would actually be happening for me."
The bad news is Blake's tour does not include Charlotte. He will play in Raleigh on August 9.
